          2. Reference la provided CINCCENT's recommendation for
          predeployment training of physicians and physician's assistants
          in the medical management of chemical casualties. Reference lb
          related the intent of DOD Health Affairs to recommend the
          provision of predeployment M2C3 training to the Secretaries of
          the Army, Navy and Air Force. Reference ic directed USAMRDC to
          assist in providing this training to medical personnel deploying
          with Division and Corps-level elements.

M Surgeon is to have every physician
          and physician's assistant trained in the medical management of
          chemical casualties prior to deployment to the CENTCOM AOR. This
          will require identifying those PROFIS physicians within HSC who
          will link up with deploying units, and training of physicians and
          physician's assistants assigned to the deploying active or
          reserve component units within FORSCOM.

          4. The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense
          (USAMRICD) will put on a special 3-day M2C3 (with animal
          laboratory and field training exercise) during the 17-19 December
          1990 timeframe. The purpose of this course will be to train the
          deploying medical personnel in the medical management of chemical
