                   B. Decontamination.

                          Major Interferences with equipment decontamination material are not anticipated. There Is some
                   potential for small reduction In the decontamination efficacy of skin decontamination kfts when they are
                   used on Individual equipment. That reduction wou:d only occur ff there were fairly largo quantities of the
                   [CD 1536 cream residue left on the equipment and cou!d be overcome by use of additional skin
                   decontamination material. Validation and quantification of the reduction would be co.suy and should be
                   undertaken only H fielding of the ICD 1536 cream Is cenain; R would then be necessary to Issue
                   Instructions to the field on how to use skin decon khs In conjunction with the ICD 1536 cream and Its
                   residues.

                   C. Individual Protection.

                          The ICD 1536 cream does not adversely affect the fit of the mask when applied In a 'laboratory'
                   setting. Further work is needed to address the eff act dust, dirt, and sand as well as high temperature
                   will have on the fit of the mask when the ICD 1536 cream is used. Testing to determine the affect this
                   ICD 1536 cream will have on the physical properties of the mask rubber material Is ongoing and results
                   are expected by 7 Sep 90.
