              4. If an order is placed within the next 72 hours, Miles Labs
indicated that on or before 21 December 1990, they can deliver 15M
Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets in bottles of 50s. The Miles
manufacturing plant routinely shuts down over the holiday season
and must have a DOD commitment to keep production going during
this period. If possible, attempts would be made to draw upon unit
of use/blister pack stocks in their current inventory in order to
provide a mix of bottles of 50s andstrip packages in boxes of
              loos.

              5. On or before 15 January 1991, Miles Labs will be able to'
deliver a second batch of 15M Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets.
Production of the above 30M tablets will be accomplished within
              the company's Westhaven, Connecticut plant.

              6. Miles Labs fools that after 15 January they can produce
approximately 500K to iN tablets daily by using corporate plants
in other countries. Also, Miles is willing to subcontract in
order to produce the quantities DOD requires in blister packs.
                  S. If DOD is willing to accept commercial packaging/labeling,
delivery times could be reduced. Bottles of 50s will be delivered
              in 6x5Os shrink wrap packages.
                  h. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets in bottles of 50s cost
              $82.13, each 500 mg tablet costs $1.64.
                  i. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets in blister packs of 100s cost
$172.39, each blister packaged 500 mg tablet costs $1.72.
                  J. Based upon the quantities that would be procured, it is
assumed that DPSC's contracting and purchasing agents can
negotiate a cheaper price per unit.
