b. When directed bv your oomxnAnder/l*iLder, apply TOP &a
follows,-
(1) Remove the TSP from your uniform pocket.
(2) Wipe all loon* dirt or z&nd from your hands,
wrists, bittooks, groin area, waist, lower le$-ankloo, and neck.
Dry all areas as much an possible' une your BDU rocket or any
other available item.
(3) Remove the container cap and squeeze a ribbon of
TS? about the diameter and the length of your middle
finger into your band. DO NOT use the flip top, you may
not $et a full ounce of the TSP due to & build ul> of
air bubbles.
(4) Rub your hands together, working the TSP into the
palms of both hands to provide even coverage.
(5) Apply the TS? to the neck (all auria6c*x from the
back hairline to the jaw line and earn, then under the chin); to
the lower less and ankles, using one hand for each aide; then to
the wrists and back of the hands.

not wipe off any excess TS?. The costing will dry to a oolorless
film and have a slight tacky feeling.
(10) A second application (steps 3,4, and 5) may be
required it the skin is *specially dry or dirty.
0. Reapplication of Topice6l Skin Protectant. Reapplication
of TSP will be needed at the following times:
(1) Immediately after decontamination of TSP protected
skin areas;
(2) When the *light tacky feel of the TSP cannot be
felt on the skin;
(3) After washing TSP protected kroaa:
(4) When the TSP film becomes generally embedded with
send, dirt, or other particulate matter;
(5) After 6 hours of continuous W*ar;
OR
(0) At the directions of your commander/leador.
5. Removal of Topical Skin Protectgnt. The TS? can be easily
removed with soap and water or w4tb alcohol wipes.
