SUBJECT: Mark I, Nerve Agent Antidote Kit (NAAK)
1. Purpose. Provide information on the NAAK.
2. Facts.
a. The NAAK consists of one atropine and one 2-PAM
autoinjector. These nerve agent antidotes are used by the soldier
to counteract the effects of nerve agents.
b. The basis of issue for the NAAK is three per soldier.
C. Upon exposure to nerve agent and the signs and symptoms
appear (excessive salivation and blurred vision), the soldier will
inject himself/herself with the contents of one NAAK. If the
symptoms persists, the soldier's buddy will administer the second
and third NAAK.
d. The nerve agent casualty is evacuated through the medical
system and given additional NAAK as required.
