           available at USAMRIID.        Because of the questionan.Le storage
           conditions in SWA, recommend disposal of the recovered vaccine.

                       (2) Botulinum pentavalent toxoid. Under provisions of
           IND regulations, 'Product could be retested for potency. Currently,
           there are                  doses at USAMRITD and approximately
           doses at the manufacturer in final stages of potency prior to
           release. The product manager at USAMMDA, Dr. Brandt, recommends
           temporarily holding the material.

                             otulinum antitoxin (equine). Currently, there are
                                                at USA?4RTTD.    Product could be
           retested ror potency. Dr. BrancLt recommend holding for contingency
           use, assuming retitering is completed.

                       (4)   Centoxin.    There are 120 vials at USAMRIID and
           additional supplies in Europe. Since the product was frozen, there
           is a concern about cryoprecipitates in an IV fluid. The product
           would require considerable retesting which would have to be
           conducted by the manufacturer. Since product expires August 91,
           disposal is recommended.

                       (5) Ribavirin. There are 375 treatment doses available
           at U      ID and 33 bottles (100 capsules/bottle) for prophylaxis.
           The product expires May 91, and the company is replacing 3,000
           vials at no charge. would recommend disposal of the product.
