         MEMORANDUM FOR SEE DISTRIBUTION

         SUBJECT: Dragon Brigade (FWD) Training Ouldance for 2d Quarter, FY 91


         1.  REFERENCES:

             a. XVIII Airborne Corps Commander'x Training Guidance 31 Oct 90.

             b. Dragon Brigade Co--nder'x FY 01 Training Guidance. 10 Aug go.

             a. Dragon Brigade Mission/UETL, 17 Au$ 90.

         2. PURPOSE: To provide training guidance for December and 2d Quarter
         1901. Its purpose is to align the training of Dragon Brigade (FWDJ units
         with the training 90412 and objectives at the Corps. This memorandum is
         not intended to tell you how to train. but rather to identify those areas
         that need emphasis to allow your soldiers to tight and win.

         3. COMMANDERS TRAINING PHILOSOPHY.


             a. 'Our focus will be on individual and collective training that
         supports our Mission Essential Task List IMETLJ and accomplishment at our
         Warfighting Mission. Prior to deployment from home station, *sea at our
         subordinate units had received CTT training, Weapons qualification and
         area training to support Accomplishment Of the Desert Shield mission.
         Since deployment, the majority at our efforts have been IA eStablIgUlng
         the TAC, Main and Rear Command Posts to accomplish the command and control
         at XVIII Airborne Corps and providing life support to those Command
         Posts. Individual training in common tasks, weapons maintenance, vehicle
