      APPENDIX 8 (MEDICAL   SERVICES) TO ANNEX N (PERSONNEL SERVICE SUPPORT) IAD
      OPLAN 1991-2 (Operation Iron Victory - IAD Redeployment)


      1. SITUATION; See Basic Oplan

      2. MISSION: To provide health service support to all IAD units during
      redeployment operations.

      3. CONCEPT: IAD medical units will provide level I (BAS) and level
      II (FSB Med CO) health care to all IAD units on an area support basis.
      Medical care will include but is not limited to basic sick call and
      emergency resuscitation. FSBs will have no holding capability.

      4. EXECUTION:

           a. Health Service Supporti

               (1). Battalion aid stations will provide initial sick
      call/treatment to organic soldiers prior to evacuating them to a higher
      level of support.

               (2). Medical companies of the DISCOM support battalions will
      provide  area medical/dL-ntal care to all 1AD units on an area support
      basis.   Sick call hours will be from 0800 to 1000 daily. True emergencies
      will be  seen at any time.

               (3). F-Co f,2ZSrd BB will initially set up a 20 bed holding ward to
      support  the division. Evacuation policy will be 3 days.

           b.  Evacuation:
                         I

               (1). Inittally, DISCOM medical units will not collocate
      ambulances forward.

               (2).  Corps ground ambulance support will be provided by the 477
      Mod Co.


               (3).  Aeromedical Evacuation

                     (a). Aeronmedical evacuation support will be provided by
      the 343rd and  986th Med Det, and the 812 Med Co.

                     (b). Primary MEDEVAC frequency is 39.15 alt 40.15.
      Alternate method is PCM 9-7805-550. Format for requests is in the SOI.

           r-. Hospitalization:

               (1). Hospital support to IAD will be provided by the 350th and
y will be 7
      days.

               (2). Soldiers evacuated from the theater during redeployment will
      not be returned to the theater.
