(U) Para 2A(4) Problem/Issue: Some units apparently did
not properly store Pyrioostigmine Bromide (PB) Tablets.
Response/Corrective Action. Agree with V Corps assessment.
Instructions were issued on proper storage of PB tablets and
periodic inspections should be conducted at unit level.
Additionally, if not already included, the inspection should be
conducted under the Command Inspection Program. If potency is
suspect, USAMMCE will assist unit in inspection of tablets.
e. (U) Para 2A(5) Problem/Issue: Vaccination of Civilian
Personnel.
Response/Corrective Action. Vaccination of civilian personnel
by 7th MEDCOM facilities will be accomplished IAW existing
regulatory and legal guidance.
f. (U) Para 2A(6) Problem/Issue: No procedures exist to
procure maps for out of sector deployments.
Response/Corrective Action. Joint Chiefs of Staff map stockage
policy allows storage of maps based on specific operation and
contingency plans. USAREUR does not have a plan of either type
that would authorize holding 'maps of the CENTCOM AOR. That
shortcoming has been identified to EUCOM, ECJ2-T.
Development of OPLAN 4285-90 will require relook at map stocks.
When plans are approved, planning stocks of pertinent maps will
be added to the map reserve.
The interim fix is as follows:
EUCOM has r @ isitioned, but not received, 500 copies each
of the available 1:50,000 maps of the crisis area.
EUCOM and USAREUR now hold 500 copies of the full-color
products in the medium (250K) and small scales (500K,IM).
of medium scale maps have been
procured and planning stocks of the large scale (50K) products
have been requisitioned, but not received. Current JCS maps
stockage and distribution procedures do not allow timely issue
to supporting-CINC troops and need to be updated to reflect the
new political realities.
g. (U) Para 2A(7) Problem/Issue: An ad@ate amount of
aviation life support equipment was not available within
deploying units (PRC 90 radios, overwater survival kits,
individual flotation devices, and laser visors).
