                1.  (U) SITUATION.

                    a.  (U) Enemy Forces. See basic OPLM.

                    b.  (U) Friendly Forces.

                        (1)        VII (US) Co@ attacks to penetrate Iraqi
                defenses and destroy Republican Guards Forces in zone.

                        (2)        1 ID(M) attacks to penetrate enemy defenses
                and continues attacking north in zone to destroy enemy lst
                echelon forces and secures PL NEW @EY to prevent direct
                and observed indirect fires on Crossing Zone Normandy while
                follow-on forces conduct crossing.

                        (3) (6) 2 ACRT west of Crossing zone Normandy,
                conducts offensive cover forward of Corps main effort.

                        (4)        1 CD, east of Crossing zone No@dy,
                conducts demonstration forward on enemy defenses to disguise
                Corps main breach site.

                2.      MISSION. VII (US) Corps Crossing Force Command
                (CFC)L conducts barrier crossing through Crossing Zone
                No@dy at H+7:50 to facilitate VII (US) Corps' attack to
                the north.

                3. (U) EXECUTION.

                    a.      Concept of operation. CFC will rapidly move
                units through Crossing Zone Normandy to facilitate the Corps'
                attack north. CFC will control crossing units IAW the Corps
                movement schedule. Depending on the extent of the enemy
                barrier, units will, at a minimim, meet unit movement block
will.,be accelerated.

                        (1) (S) Scheme of maneuver. (Appendix C,,
                Operations Sketch). CFC Headquarters will be established on
                the near-side of the enmw barrier NLT H+5:50 to command and
                control all crossing units in Crossing Zone Normandy (from PL
                     to PL NEW LTERSEY,, the breach-head line)# IAW VII (US)
