          4. (U) TITLE: HELICOPTER COMMAND AND CONTROL CONSOLES

          5. (U) OBSERVATION: The aviation brigade reqires more command
          and control consoles.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: The aviation brigade currently possesses one
          helicopter command and control console which is used by the
          division's air CP. The aviation brigade commander operates
          assets throughout the division's operational sector. He also
          needs the command and control aircraft communications capability
          available from a console. With only one console available to
          the brigade, aircraft maintenance requirements frequently
          necessitate the transfer of the console between aircraft on an
          emergency basis.

          7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Provide the aviation brigade with
          helicopter command and control consoles and aircraft wiring sets
          sufficient for the following distribution:

              1 - division commander's aircraft
              1 - division air CP
              1 - aviation brigade air CP
              1 - back up / maintenance
