           5.  (U) OBSERVATION: The Alpha and Charlie companies in the
           military intelligence battalion do not have the required
           organization to support themselves when deployed and cannot be
           supported adequately with HSC assets.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: When deployed, these companies have all the
           responsibilities of a maneuver battalion to support itself with
           class 1, III, and IX thru the area support battalion. They
           currently do not have the load carrying capacity to resupply
           their assets across a 40 km'baseline.

           7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Reorganize the companies to give
           them the capability to resupply themselves from the support
           battalion and deliver those supplies to the deployed assets.
