          4. (U) TITLE: FIELD FEEDING OPERATIONS

          5. (U) OBSERVATION: The Array's field feeding system is broken.
          Although soldiers did not go without food, the basic staple was
          the MRE for over six months.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: T-rations were not always available and,
          when available, one meal would be served for a week at a time.
          A-rations were inconsistent and rarely available. B-rations,
          widely accepted by the soldiers, were not consistently
          available. MRE's were, therefore, relied upon by the combat
          units. Six months of spaghetti for breakfast is a little much
          to ask of our soldiers.

          7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: We must fix the Army's field feeding
          system now and we must develop a breakfast MRE for our soldiers
          so that they can be issued a case of MRE's designed specifically
          for the breakfast meal. our soldiers sacrifice much on extended
          deployments and we owe then a better ration.
