            4. (U) TITLE: DISCOM / CORPS SUPPORT GROUP RELATIONSHIP

            5. (U) OBSERVATION: The close relationship @ibited between the
            24 ID DISCOM and the 171 CSG should become doctrinal.

            6. (U) DISCUSSION: The combined assets of both were
            instrumental in supporting the rapid advance of the 24 ID. Area
            support was provided regardless of who the supported unit
            belonged to. And, that is the way that it should be.       Some
            units would not let one draw water or use their phones because
            they did not wear the right patch. These people forget that we
            all wear the uniform of the US Army, and it should make no
            difference what unit they belong to.

            7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Recommend that stability be
            established to enhance familiarity between supported and
            supporter. Without it, supporting units will have a difficult
            time learning the idiosyncrocies of the units-they support.
