5. (U) OBSERVATION: There are too many vehicles in the HHB and
TAB.
6. (U) DISCUSSION: our doctrine puts the Q-36 radars with the
direct support battalions. This leaves the DIVARTY to position
and provide logistics for the Q-37's. The result experienced
during OPERATION DESERT STORM was two maintenance sections, two
mess sections, two supply sections, and two battery headquarters
in the DIVARTY position.
7. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Army should study the
consolidation of the HHB and TAB in the Division Artillery.
