          5. (U) OBSERVATION: The TACFIRE shelter does not have good cross
          country mobility.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: one artillery brigadec took several mobility
          enhancement measures that turned out to be vital to providing
          support to the division. One of these measures was to mount all
          TACFIRE shelters on HEMTT's giving them the cross-country
          mobility that was sorely needed. The terrain in which we
          operated demanded high mobility; the HEMTT afforded it to us
          where the conventional 5-ton chassis could not.

          7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: The current vehicle that mounts TACFIRE
          cannot keep up with the pace of the battle.

          S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Army should mount the TACFIRE
          shelter on a HEMTT or similar vehicle that provides the
          necessary cross-country mobility.
