            5. (U) OBSERVATION: There is a lack of general support artillery
            in the heavy division.

            6. (U) DISCUSSION: There is insufficient artillery available in
            the heavy division for the commanding general to influence the
            action when required. The current MLRS battery is not enough to
            position across a normal division zone of operation.

            7. ('U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Change the TO&E for the division
            artillery and add a MLRS battalion instead of a battery.
