           4. (U) TITLE: ADAO COMKUNICATIONS

           5. (U) OBSERVATION: The ADAO section lacks the proper
           communication equipment.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: Multichannel is a good system but is not
           always reliable for timely information flow. The section also
           needs FM radio for secure communication over short distances to
           aircraft and units. VHF would be preferable due to the extended
           range capability. The current hand-held radios are not
           adequate.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: The ADAO section does not have adequate
           radio communications to perform its mission.

           S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Recommend that the section be
           authorized FM / VHF radios and proper antennas.
