marching fires to engage approximately thirty to forty enemy tanks, armored
personnel carriers, and trucks with dismounted infantry. TF 4-34 encountered
small pockets of enemy resistance (both tanks and APC'S) as it continued its
move towards the objective. During this phase* tank main oun engagements
ranged from as close as 300 meters to distancek..,iti..It@erience by TF 4-34 AR,
          up to 2800 meters.

As the RFCT continued its movement souteast, elements encountered a berm
system bordering both sides of a paved road. The berm/road system ran in a
northeast/southwest line in the RFCT's sector (vic (2T 8910 to UT 1320). As TF
4-34 AR began to cross the berm systen4 it*s Co/Tm's were approached by
surrendering Iraqi soldiers. An estimated 150 EPW's surrendered to TF 4-34 AR
that evening, which cost them the use of one engineer and infantry squad until
late the 28th because of escorting/processing such a large number of EPW'S.
The berm bordering the road delayed and separated the Bde trains from the
lead elements, which had been compounded by the intended rapid eastward
er units. At approximately 272130CFEB94 so as to
secure and escort the trains movement into objective, the RFCT CDR directs TF
3-5 GAV to dispatch a TF of one tank (B/4-32 AR) and one Bradley company
(A/3-5 CAV) under the command of MAJ Rodriguez. This TF proceeded back along
the RFCT's axis, located, secured, and brought forward the combat team's
support elements. Lead elements of the RFCT secured OBJECTIVE MINDEN at
approximately 280115CFEB94 with the trains closing in at or around 0600
hours. The RFCT had been informed at 272207CFEB91 to go to MOPP I. TF
locations and combat power is reported as.- TF 3-5 CAV (UT 10296B) with 13
          tanks, 49 M2/3's, 6 M106's; TF 4-32 AR reported 39 MlAl's, IB M2/3's, 4
          M106's; TF4-34 AR had 44 MIAL'S, 13 M2s (no M3s), 6 M113A3's (scouts), 5

068993. The new RFCT EPW collection poirt is at UT 127981.
At 280240CFEB91, in anticipation of the cease fire, the RFCT issued a
warniv4 order @ each TF to clear an assigned sector of all bypassed enemy
forces from PL I TM to PL KIWI, as well as to destroy all captured or
abandoned eq t. See Annex H for the'RFCT's direct fire Battle Damage
Assessment (BDA)T vehicles/equipment destroyed by direct fire during the '100
hour war". A temporary cease fire was put into effect at or around 0800
