tack, wman the scouts had Initial contact,.the FISTV moved forward to
designate +or CAS. When CAS priority was lost to TF 4-18, and C Company
moved forward to engage the BRDM and ZSU 23-4, SSG Katula has to climb up
on the FISTV to hand crank the hammerhead down. As the F'ISTV pulls forward

                                                                      first
SSG Katula and his driver, SPC Scott are wounded by the bursts of

        mbi-tar/artillery fire.

They are positioned in i three pointed star as protection against

pull local security. C12 has run out of fuel and C31 is down +or a broken

up C12 and then the M88 to pick up C31, which is eventually towed back to

        the combat trains.

During the refuel and recovery CPT Szabo straightens out his company

line. Prior to their recovery both C12 and C31 engage hot spots at

1200-1300m with HEAT rounds. C33 and C34 engage troops with coax and CAL

        .50 at 800 to 900m through thermals.

In the darkness refuel operations become difficult. CPT Szabo refuels

with D Compiny and the unit is not entirely topped off until midnight. By

this time all fire has ceased from the enemy as.TF 4-BCAV prepares for the

        attack.

At 2247 Szabo bounds forward with 3rd Platoon, expecting to
