1. (U) SITUATION: See Current INTSUM
2. (U) MISSION: No Change
3. EXECUTION:
a. Concept of the operation: Medical sections and units organic
to the brigade will provide Health Service Support (HSS) in order to
save the lives of soldiers and conserve the fighting strength of the
2nd Armored Division (Fwd).
b. Operational Phases:
(1) Phase 1: Complete.
(2) Phase II: Complete.
(3) Phase III: Attack and penetrate enemy forward
positions.
(a) At B-11 C Co, 498 will provide TF 1-41, TF 3-66, and
2-66 AR with one armored ambulance (Mli3). These ambulance will be
used to evacuate casualties from the Battalion Aid Station (BAS) to
the Ambulance Exchange Point@ (AXP). From the AXPS, patients will be
moved to C Co, 498th for further treatment. AXP i and AXP 2 will be
established north of the breach once phase line Colorado is secure.
AXP I is NT788389, AXP 2 is NT829390. AXP 3 NTS40512 opens on order.
(b) Ambulances from 651%t Ambulance Co (Ground) will provide
evacuation from C Co, 498 to the 31 Combat Support Hospital or 377
Combat Support Hospital, located in the vic. NS630770.
(c) MEDEVAC: 507th Air Ambulance will operate in our
sector. Call sign is Lonestar Dust Off. Dust Off helicopters will
evacuate URGENT patients from the FSB. Dust Off can occur at the BAS
f the tactical situation permits. The standard 9 line MEDEVAC
request will be used to request aeromedical evacuation.
(d) Crossing Area Command: At 6-11 2-66 will release the
BAS M577 track for use as; the medical support for, IAD (UK). The Aid
Station will be established 400 meters north of lanes M and L. A
British LNO will be co-located with the 2-66 BAS to assist in
managing british casualties evacuated through US Medical channels.
Casualties will be aeromedically evacuated from the BAS established
north of the lanes. Until i AD (UK) clears PL New Jersy, all British
casualties will be passed through the US Medical evacuation system.
1AD (UK) will assume complete responsibility and management of their
casualties once its dressing stations are established and
operational.
