SUPCOM EVENING BRIEF, 23 MAR 91
1. Request for Copy of VII Corps Redeployment.Schedule.
From COL Ellis, SUPCOM RAA CDR. Understand LTG Franks has not
yet approved final draft.
2. USAREUR WSRO Flight. SUPCOM APOE CDR.@reported that
USAREUR +light scheduled for 29 MAR. Recommendbd that unity
integrity be maintained instead of "trickling in" people, as has
been happening to date.
3. CARC Painting of VII Corps Vehicles Returning to BE.
Reemphasized that VII Corps requirement is woodland camouflage,
not green as briefed earlier by SUPCOM ACS-MAT.
4. IAD Fest Tents. COL Ellisg RAA CDR, briefed that 3 Fest
Tents are complete in the DRA, but that one was "about 5 meters
short" due to missing/damaged wall panels. If this causes a
problem for the unit he is willing to try to get another tent.
S. Occupation of Buildings by US Forces in KKMC. SUPCOM
CofS reiterated that units need to follow procedures established
by SUPCOM Host Nation Office. Apparently Some unidentified US
unit starting moving into a building that was being vacated by
another US unit even though it had no authority to do so. Also
reiterated that furniture must not be moved between buildings.
6. Flying of Equipment out of the APOE. APOE CDR stated
that units must provide their own load team and tie down gear.
These resources are not provided by the APOE.
SUPCOM MORNING STAND-UP, 24 MAR 91
1. Saudi PX Parking Lot. Off limits to all US military
vehicles.
2. Abandoned 155mm ARTY Amma. Issue brought to VII Corps
attention by COL Sholly, SUPCOM Host Nation Office. Item Of
command interests within Corps Arty. Corps Arty 64 researched
lot numbers provided; determined that while some were issued to
the Corpsg some were clearly not. Have also investigated/inven-
toried same personally; indications are that ammo was dumped
recently by someone anxious to unload the materiel. Passed same
to COL Shelly; SUPCOM ACS-LOB tasked to secure/clear site.
3. Harassment of VII Corps Women by Arab Soldiers. In
coordination with SUPCOM Host Nation, VII Corps B5, and VII Corps
SJAG an educational information flyer has been developed. Will
not reproduce/distribute unless approved by ACofS. This matter
has also been brought to the attention of LTG Pagonis since
