                a. Situation. Brigade units continue construction of Log
            Base Echo. Construction of tPW compound initated. Units continue
            to train with combat units.


                b. Operations/Tng. Construction:

                     (1)   Log Base Echo:

                     (3)   Brigade has constructed 23 crossing sites west of
            Log Base E,  9 crossing -sites in Echo and 8 east of Echo for a
            total of 40- 1AD and @@AD requesting an additional 36,sit8s to the
            extreme west of Corps sector. Will initiate work ASAP. Effort
            will degrade   work vicinity Log Base E. Will maxi4ilze the number
            of eiossiriga-cannot guarantee 36 in allotted time.

                h.   Problems Requiring Corps Assistance:

                     (1) Brigade is still drastically short NVC4s and
            navigation devices. Brigade units are only 50% effective because
           ,they cannot see or navigate at night.

                     (2) imap distribution will be a major problem for the
            Corps if a forward map depot is not established soon.
