4. (U) TITLE: Operations: Reserve Component Use Of Family
Assistance Center
5. (u) OBSERVATION: To provide access to Reserve component
soldiers and family members.
6. (u) DISCUSSION: a. Reserve component interface and access
to the Family Assistance Center (FAC) has been accomplished.
The -Following actions have been accomplished:
15 Nov 90 - Activated Family Assistance Center
1 Dec 90 - Identify National Guard and Army Reserve,
Family Support Officers (South Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska,
Minnesota, Missouri).
15 Dec 90 - Identify Reserve Component and National Guard
units activated for POR at Fort Riley.
28 Dec 90 - Conduct Reserve Component and National Guard
family member briefings (on RC/NC site).
b. To date, the Family Assistance Center provides POR for all
Reserve Component/National Guard on Fort Riley. In addition,
family services are provided on a 24 hour basis: Legal
Assistance (PDA, wills, guardianship, tax preparation, etc),
Housing, DOL, ARC, Army Community Service, Finance and Chaplain.
