        deception means. At this point, their most common ruse was to
        place dummy positions under camouflage nets to draw coalition
        aircraft fire and confuse our reconnaissance.

        weakness of the enemy division 2-16 +aced was their inherent
        organic lack of armor support. Also, the fact that coalition
        forces had established complete air superiority represented a
        severe weakness in their ability to use a mobile counterattack
        force in Support of their static defense. Allied control of the
        air not only lessened Iraqi air sortie capability, but it also
        served to cut off supply lines, with attendant negative morale
        and psyr-hological effects.
