               AFZN-PTM-C, MR WALTER, 856-2225, (913)239-2225.

               2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by IJSCENTcbff on 02/06/91.
               3. (U) KEYWO@6S- RWO (REAL WORLD 00@'i, USA (US A§HY). ACTIVE
COMPONENT, GUARD COMPONENT, RESERVE COMPONENT, C2 (COMMAND AND
CONTROL), ORDERS, READINESS, UNFAVORABLE, CAPABILITY, surTABILITY,

               4. (U) TITLE: LOSISTICST NBC: tlzrr4G CRITERIA

               S. (U) OBSERVATION: Different sizing criteria for Battle Dress
Overgarment (SDC) verses Chemical Protective Overgarment (CPO)
required all ist ID (M) and RC soldiers to be sized.

               6. (U) DISCUSSION: All units used CPDs for training. They drew
8DOs for contingency. However, the SDOs were larger than the
CPOS. Therefore all personnel iLn Ist ID (M) and RC units were
given the opportunity to be sized.
Gloves were issued in any a-F four sizes'.
Black chemical overbc)ots soon were no longer in the
inventory. Hence units had to size using the GVO substitute or
               extract clothing record data.

               7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: none

               8. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Sizing for wet weather gear should
consider its wear over the ensemble.
Sizing of personnel is best done by the unit. Battalions
may be scheduled -For a sizing set for fit in advance of draw.
Sizing done during this phase allowed timei for rotation of
sets among units before bulk draw occurred.

               9. (U) COMMENTS: none

                   (U) Lesson distributed byt FLLP.
