           2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/06/91.

           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS- BULK DRAW OF CDE AND CLASS VIII

           S. (U) OBSERVATION: Ist ID (M) effectively accomplished bulk
           draw of installation managed CDE and Class VIII.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: Installation managed CDE included the
           ensemble (suit, helmet cover, gloves, BVOS) as well as skin
           decontamination kit. Installation managed Class VIII including
           NAAK and Pretreatment Tablet, PB.
               Draws -For Ist ID (M) were scheduled by battalion in bulk.
               Three or more days prior to draw, Division Chemical verified
           unit requests (DA 3161) to ensure needs were being identified.
           Simultaneously Division Chemical issued memorandum authorization
           for bulk draw of NAAK and PB tablets in proper numbers from
           MEDDAC.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: none

           S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Bulk draw of CDE and Class VIII
           occurred without difficulty.
