                b. LT Wreggelsworth, 1ID(M) Chem, told that if requested, 2
plts of 181 Chem Co could be located in the division sector
provided this unit provided general support decon to all corps
units per direction of the Corps Rear CP. MAJ Polley r@ested
that the attachment be effected and that they would provide GS
            support south of the breach.

                C. MAJ Davis, 2ACR, provided locations of potential hasty
decon sites: NS 2058, NS 3063, and NS 3867.

                d. Have 1920 drums of DS2 and 1479 drums of STB on hand in the
Corps. With that units can decon 77 company sized elements using
            the guidance in FM 3-5.

                e. CPT Trently, 3AD Chem requested to know if release had been
granted for CS. He was told that LTG Franks said no, not under any
circumstances. He also asked the life of the M43 mask filter (the
same as the M40), and the life of the lithium battery in the M43 (8
            hr).

            14 FEB 91:

                a. The SCUD that hit near Hafar al Batin was an air burst
suspected of being a chemical warhead. 2ACR tasked to do an aerial
recon and 11 Cm Co tasked to perform a ground recon. Turned out to
be no contamination and that the "air burst" was the SCUD breaking
            up in flight.

                 b. CPOG issues began with 45,448 in Log Base Echo.

            15 FEB 91:

                a. Extract of message from BG Tilelli, CG, 1CD, to
LTG Franks, CG, VII Corps, subject: Potential War Stoppers -

                     (1) CPOGs/BDOs. 1CD does not have the second set. We
currently need 15,000 to fill requisitions for the ICD and 43 CSG.
My G-3 was told by COL Cherrie (G-3, VII Corps) that this issue nay
be fixed in the near future.

    (2) M24/M25 Mask Filters. We need an additional set of
filters to complete the 6 month change out. This change out is due
in March; however, I feel it is best to change out before the
ground offensive begins. Need 5000 filters. (Investigation found
filters had been requisitioned on 14
            Feb 91.)
