                         - ARCENT Engr Message, DTG:      100835Z Feb, Subj:
           Guidance for Handling and Storage of Hazardous Waste by Forward
           Deployed Units; POC'S:   LTC Kohl 7805-551 and CPT Bleckman 7805-
           448.

               e. CANA: No policy yet. Surgeon's action. Was part of re-
           deployment packet.

           5 MAR 91:

              a. The TAC reported that the FMIB team had still not picked up
           the contaminated samples from 3AD.

              b. Provided info to CENTCOM Chem ref: destruction plan for
           chemical munitions.

              c. Received call from ARCENT; contaminated samples were in FMIB
           channels and were being prepared for evacuation.

           6 Mar 1991

              a. CENTCOM reported there were no plans for the U.S. to go back
           and ask the Iraqis for specific info on chemical round storage
           areas.

              b. Two missing soldiers from the lith Chemical Co were located
           at 159th SPT GP.


           7 Mar 1991

              a. ARCENT Chem reported M17 LDSs destined for VII Corps had
           still not been found at the ports.

              b.   7th ENG BDE reported they had no need for the plts of 181
           Chem Co during the clearing operations.

              C.    IID reported a large cache of suspected 152mm chemical
           shells in their AO.

           8 MAR 1991 ARCENT reported that two Iraqi LTCs stated that mustard
           gas was used against Basrah rioters.
