                    (2) Ensure all personnel have a safety briefing prior to
            entering CARC site. See enclosure 2: CARC SITE SAFETY BRIEFING

                    (3)  Complete CARC Site safety checklist during each
            shift.
                    (4)  Inspect equipment for safety related problems at the
            beginning of the shift and at least once more during that shift.

                    (5)_ Maintain a roster of all personnel working at CARC
            site.

                    (6)  Keep commander informed of wet-bulb temperature and
            heat stress index. Wear of personnel protective equipment in
            spray painting operations generally will add lOoF heat stress to
            current work/rest cycle guidlines per FM 21-11.
                    (1) Monitor wind direction for vapors and overspray.
                    (8) Ensure all Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is
            on hand, clean on inner surfaces and in safe working order.

                    (9) Check fit and condition of respirators daily.

                    (10) Provide AMC Project manager Tom Wolf, coim 843-2008
            a daily PPE and operational equipment status report. To ensure
            sufficient PPE and equipment are on site/ordered. Problems or
            questions on PPE 'may be referred to AMC/USASG safety officer Bill
            Shirley at comm 843-2008.

                C. Contact maintenance team:

                    (1) Clean intake filters on compressors daily.
            Compressed air blasting from the reverse side of filters is
            appropriate method. No organic solvents or petroleum products are
            to be used forcleaning.

                    (2) Check generators daily.

                    (3) Complete equipment checklist daily.

                    (4) Responsible for ensuring equipment is safe to use.

               d.   Painters, paint mixers, drivers, ground guides:

                    (1) No SMOKING in work area.

                    (2) SMOKE in break area only.

                    (3) Wear respirators at all times when around paint
