2. Unit Information:
241st Transportation Detachment (Movement Control)
Regional Movement Control Team - LD. Coordinate and control the
movement of personnel, material and equipment in and out of
seaports, airports, railways and assembly areas. Coordinate
activities of up to 10 subordinate Movement control teams.
Strength: Officers: 4 NCOS: 2 Enlisted: 4
All MTOE equipment was on hand when unit mobilized and unit
reported to Mob Station with such. Only ERC A item is M17AI
Protective Mask. Other major items on hand to include: Two
M890AI vehicles; .45 cal pistol and M16AI rifles; 3KW generator;
GRC-47 radio; two GP small tents: BDOs and other NBC equipment.

Training to include: Weapons familiarization: NBC in depth;
OPSEC; COMSEC; exchange M890AIs for M100SAls (MOGAS to diesel
vehicles); all personnel vehicle and generator licensed; host
nation briefings; inventory equipment; utilize SSSC account; draw
ammunition and NBC material; draw Morale Welfare Recreation
supplies; prepare vehicles and equipment for C-130 aircraft
loading.
a. Mob Station Host Unit was Air Defense Artillery unit which
took exceptionally great care of us, but was not able to provide
training in Transportation Corps subjects.
b. Fort Lewis closed down (especially civilian employees) for
four days during Thanksgivina: therefore CIF warehouses, DRCS,
medical and dental clinics, and other facilities unavailable.
