     SUBJECT: HISTORICAL REPORT




     1. The following is a list of chronological       events slirr ounding the
     involvement of the 42nd Medical Company (Ambulance) during Operations Desert
     Shield and Desert Storm:

      9 NOV 1990      42nd notified of deployment to Saudi Arabia.

     18 NOV 1990      Cross leveled ambulances with 651st Medical Company. Received
                      (17) M997's for a total of 36 in the unit.

          NOV 1990    Vehicles convoyed to Mannheim for shipment.

     28 NOV  1990     Connexs and sealand van shipped to Sardi Arabia.
                      SPC Fuller and PFC Hererra assigned to unit.

     29 NOV  1990     SFC Thaggard, SSG Taylor, and SPC Diaz assigned to unit.

      3 DEC  1990     Unit bused to Nurnberg, Germany for flight to Saudi Arabia.

      4 DEC  1990     Arrived at APOD Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Bused to port of Dammam.

      9 DEC  1990     Vehicle 312 arrived at Port.


     12 DEC  1990     25 vehicles arrived at Port.

     13 DEC  1990     Received (9) IIB'S, (1) 75B, (I) 94B in the unit.

     14 DEC 1990      65% of personnel and 67% of unit equipment convoy to desert 14
                      miles south of Tapline Road, 2 miles west of Log Base Alfa.

     16 DEC 1990      Unit relocates 20 km east of Al Quaysumah, I mile south of
                      Tapline Road; N28 14.5' E46 IE3.46'.


     IS DEC 1990      Rear detachment leaves Port to rejoin unit.
