AMB 204 involved in a single vehicle accident. @and
hospitalized at the 12th Evacuation Hospital.

Unit begins malaria tablets.

15 FEB 1991 released from 12th Evacuation Hospital.

16 FEB 1991 HGI Pl atoon receives first anthrax injection.
Hussein sends a message through Aziz that he will negotiate
for peace and leave Kawait if he could still have control of
the oil fields.

20 FEB 1991" @released from 12th Evacuation Hospital.
Unit alerted- 30 SCUD missiles to be released over unit loca-
tion.
New 9lAs assigned to the unit- SPCs Hale and Lugo, PVTs Gray
and Hernandez.

22 FEB 1991 President Bush announces final deadline of 23 FEB 199i for
Iraq to leave Kawait to avert a ground war.
03 FEB 1991 4 ambulances from 2nd Platoon and 2 ambulances from 3rd Platoon
return to Unit Headquarters in support of the Refueling Mission
during movement to Iraq.

24 FEB 1991 0400 hours- Ground war begins. Unit to relocate at H+30.
42nd now in Saudi Arabia +or 83 days.
Air war in effect for 39 days.
Unit tears down base camp, on line for movement to Objective
Lee.

25 FEB 1991 1530 hours- Convoy begins movement to Staging Area.

26 FEB 1991 0830 hours- Convoy passes through the berm into Iraq, stops 6t
miles north of the border for 3 hours.
1900 hours- 42nd moves out to locate Ist Cavalry Division's
FSBs to unite with the line platoons.

27 FEB 1991 0200 hours- Convoy passes through the Republican Guard bunker
site. MKT separates from the A frame, forced to move out of the
area quickly, no time to retrieve the MKT.
0500 hours- Convoy stops for a three hour sleep break.
0800 hours- Convoy moves beyond Objective Collins, 60 miles
southwest of Basra, Iraq.
Headquarters treats two Enemy Prisoners of War at the holding
area.

-8 FEB 1991 0800 hours- President Bush calls -For a total cease-Fire; by the
afternoon the war ends. Iraq agrees to all 12 proposals.
