                                     128th CSH
                          DESERT STORM DEPLOYMENT 1990/91

              Immediately after the 128th Combat Support Hospital's Field
        Training Exercise in October       1990, world events      dictated
        preparation for deployment to Southwest Asia. A two soldier
        advance party was dispatched to Saudi Arabia on 29NOV90. A two
        soldier team was sent to Antwerp Belgium to monitor loading of
        128th CSH equipment, vehicles and supplies onto transport ships.
        The formal warning order was received by the unit on BDEC90.
        A. The following events occurred following INOV90:

              1. Medically oriented classes.
                   a. IV
                   b. Medications
                   c. CPR (all unit members certified)


              2. Soldier skills
                   Nuclear, Biological and Chemical, marksmanship, unit
                   defense, driver's trainin8/convoy procedures, Battle
                   Drills (2nd COSCOM, 30th Med Gp.), land navigation,
                   Common Task Testing.

              3. Field Skills
                   Field sanitation, Personal     hygiene in the field,
                   Heat/cold injuries-prevention/Rx.

              4. Saudi Arabian orientation
                   culture, geography, weather

        B. November/December 1990

              1. DEPMEDS (Deployable Medical Systems) training (13 to
                   21NOV90) I week, 70 personnel, Germersheim, FRG.

              2. Medical Management of Chemical Casualties (M2C2) Course
                   19-21 DEC90 Neubrueke, FRG for Doctors and Nurses.
