             SUBJECT: Change 1 to RFCT Predeployment NBC Training and
             Certification for Desert Shield


                      4    Go through gas chamber to recheck seal.

                      5   Decon skin with K58Al Decon Kit.

                      6   Administer nerve agent antidote (self/buddy aid).

                      7   Drink and use latrine in HOPP 4.

                      8   a. Operate the M13 Decon Apparatus (DAP).
                          b. Operate the Mll Decon Apparatus (DAP).

                      9   NBC TEAM - Put the M8AI Alarm System into operation to
             include service and shut down procedures.

                     10 - NBC TEAM - Operate the M256Al Chemical Detector Hit.

                     11 - NBC TEAM (decontamination).
                           a. Conduct hasty decontamination.
                           b. Mark contaminated area.

                     12 - KOPP gear exchange (squad/platoon level).

                     13 - a. Prepare and submit NBC 1 report (squad ldrs &
                               above).
                           b. Supervise crossing a contaminated area.
                           C. Conduct unmasking procedures.

                 d. Each company/battery size unit will have only four hours to
             complete all round robin stations. In order to stay within this
             requirement, unit commanders are to ensure their soldiers are
             trained on above listed tasks prior to participation.

             3. Responsibilities.

                 a. Brigade S3:

                       (1) Coordinate for training areas.

                       (2) Provide evaluation sheets.

                       (3) Tasks subordinate units to provide personnel and
             equipment necessary to run site.
