           SUBJECT: Continuation Chronology of 3AD NBC Activities For Desert
           Shield/Storm


           ACTIVITY: SCUD attack and the NBC reaction by 3AD
           DATE/TIME: 210030L Jan
           DESCRIPTION: Unit arrived at King Fahd Airport during a scud
           attack. Personnel were instructed to begin taking Pyridostigmine
           Bromide (PB) tablets and proceed to MOPP 4 based on recommendation
           of VII Corp personnel. First request for chemical agent monitors
           (CAM) was forwarded.


           ACTIVITY: Threat Chemical Weapons Use.
           DATE/TIME: 240430L Jan
           DESCRIPTION: Saddam Huissain said on TV and radio that since the
           Americans had used chemical weapons first, he was going to
           counter-attack using chemicals.


           ACTIVITY: Possible Chemstrike.
           DATE/TIME: 241355L Jan
           DESCRIPTION: G3 OPS reported a possible chemstrike via BM 21. This
           message originated with an Iraqi EPW. It was later proved
           unfounded.


           ACTIVITY: Iraq Chemical BDA
           DATE/TIME: 241900L Jan
           DESCRIPTION: Twenty-plus chemical munitions storage targets were
           hit by US Air Force strikes.


           ACTIVITY: First US employment of the new RECON vehicle, the Fox.
           DATE/TIME: 281000L Jan
           DESCRIPTION: The NBC RECON vehicle, the Fox, tp country is having
           problems with its mass spectrometer. A KKMC maintenance team has
           to be notified for assistance. The maintenance team was a
           consistent problem throughout the war. They were hard to find,
           hard to manage, and lastly hard to control. This may be due in
           part to the fact that these are civilian contracted technicians.
