own tent in an area they thought was cleared. There really
doesn't seem to be any safe place for anyone, and we are all
watching where we walk a little more closely as a result of this.

More children arrive with the usual cluster bomb injuries.
It seems as though the children are always in a group when one of
their number finds one of these things, and the results are always
horrible. We are increasing the number of pediatric supplies that
we are ordering from the MEDSOM, despite their initial arguments
that we weren't "authorized" to have these items.
BG McFarland visits again today, and all chin straps are
personally checked by the first sergeant prior to his arrival. No
new information or decisions come from his visit.

Another typical day here at the 807th MASH, as more Iraqi
children show up, torn into pieces after playing with yet another
cluster bomb. our pediatric supplies are being put to good use
though we all fervently wish they would lie in a drawer unused.
