c) FRASO 91-02-5: Defend in Sector from NS340580
to PS025555. Issued to subordinate units on the evening of
16 January.
d) FRA[30 91-02-7: Move to and conduct Defense in
Sector from NT9010 to PTOIIO. Issued to subordinate units
on the afternoon of 17 January.
e) FRAGO 91-02-8: Defend in Sector from NS8200
to PS1700 to PS0580 to NS8580. Issued to subordinate Linits
,on the morning of 25 January.

c. The chronology of the time period included:

13 Jan
1630: Brigade receives verbal FRAGO to move to
and occupy defensive sector from NS690465 to NS960375.
1830: Brigade begins movement north.
1905: The brigade TAC begins movement.
1936: TF 2-5 main body begins movement.
2019: TF 2-8 begins movement.
2036: TF 3-32 begins movement.
2102z 1-62 FA begins movement.

14 Jan
0001: Units continue movement to new defensive
positions.
0457.- Combat units of the brigade close on new
defensive positions.
Units conduct maintenance operations and recover
disabled vehicles. Defensive priorities of work are
initiated.

15 Jan
Units reposition to better defensive positions
and continue defensive priorities of work.

16 Jan
The brigade continues to defend in sector and
conducts priorities of work. Critical equipment that was
left behind in TAR WENDY is recovered. During the late
afternoon, a warning order is issued to all units to be
prepared to move north of the Tapline Road and conduct
defense in sector upon initiation of D-Day.

17 Jan
0215: Notified by the DTAC that 100 Tomohawk
missiles were launched towards Iraq.
0220: DTAC announces that ARCENT OPLAN 001 is now
in effect.
