3. RESULTS:
a.. GOOD NEWS. Requisition, status and parts are flowing in
the Division. Parts to repair inoperable equipment are being
intensely managed by DMMC and being pushed to the customer.
b. Ttirn-in of disk by units is inconsistent.rethe average
unit does not turn in a disk daily whether they have transactions
or not. This is attributed to a number o-F.reasons:
(1) Computer failure at the unit or@DSUt@.-
(2) Down days.
(35 Transportation problems.
(4) Not knowing the requirement or in some cise@s just
failure to perform the functions.
This results -in unit transactions not being processed timely and
status not available at the unit +or management (Jati.
C. Units in some cases +ail to perform the C-43 process
(Automated Status Update) daily. eAn even laraer problem is the
failure to react to the stattts/infoi-mation provided to the unit
during the status update. Rc?qLtest that are canceled ire not
researched to determine cause of cancellation and reordered.
Request that are released for issued (DA Status) are not
monitored to ensure the part is received within a reasonable
-time. Units do not identify problems to their DSUs when status
has not been received in a timely mariner or appears to be
erroneous.
e. ULLS trained PLL Cleris (76Cs) are a shortage MOS 4,n the
Division. Units have taken mechanics, infantryman, tankers etc.,
to fill th@se shortages. In some cases these soldil-rs were not
properly trained and do not understand the supply system.
Therefore, without constant supervision and guidance they fail to
perform necessary functions.
