  operate the double wheel 8aml?ling system clnd change frequencies on the radio
  at the same time...tl@is can be especially cumbersome when NBC 4 reports must
  be expediently relayed to higher headquarters at the same time that
  coordination is-taking place betwebn.the l@OX (NBCRS.) commander and his
  securii@y. f orc'e'f rom the supported unit (normally one MIAL or 2 M2 @3s) . The
  FOX (NBCRS) - commander must be able to direct his security force so that they
  do not become contaminated unnecessarily. The preseiit'communications.system
  does not allow the@fl:exibility to d6'thesE-. two things simultaneously.
              RECOMMENDATION: Install two 1,.N/VRC-46 radio systems in the POX
  (NBCRS). This is a viable option and was successfully accomplished by the
  89th chemical company from the 3rd ACR. F;very vehicle must have this
  configuration due to the slice nature of t.he.FOX (NBCRS) equipped NBC
  reconnaissance platoon.'
