               'DISCUSSION:  These  teams supported  specific  platoons  out in  the
  field and  lived under the same   austerb conditions that the soldiers did. How
  yell your  mobile maintenance team did their job was purely the luck of the
  draw. When we went to the 24th ID (M) our team was excellent. They did'an
  outstanding  job of ke&ping our equipment running and correcting all of the
  mistakes that the mechanics in    the rear had made at the direct support
  facility. These guys really cared     about us and our equipment. All were
  former Army-maintenance personnel and they knew ti[L@- how the Army operated in
  this respect. This ability allowed them to bridge the gap between General
  .Dynamics and the Army very'elfectively. 5.1hey also were more intelligent and
  mechanically incliner than their direct support facility counterparts.
               RECOMMNBATION: Always; make E;ure mechanics of this caliber are
  taken care of. I ma   'de sure mine were given the same.trebltment as my own
  soldiers and constantly ensured that their needs were tended to. Reward good
  work with praise and ensure@-chat'their   chain of command   is aware of the good
  job that they did. I made sure     that I dict theie things  and I am sure it made
  all of the-difference.
