                 (7)       Provide medical support to Special Operations Command
         Central. (SOCCEIVT) operating in the area as required.

                 (8) (U) Establish preventive medicine programs as described in
         paragraph 6. this appendix.

                 (9) wt@i@ Provide veterinary support to all US Forces within
         Commander, XVIII Airborne Corps AOR.

                 (10) -K"@ Provide medical support to AFFOR, NAVFOR, and MARFOR
         personnel on an area basis within the Corps AOR.

                 (I'l) wfm94- Act as single class VIII manager for theater.

                 (12) we&)- Provide for the collection and prompt dissemination
         of medical intelligence. Medical intelligence information will be
         routed through intelligence channels. Information copies will be
         furnished appropriate medical units or medical staff officers.

                 (13) (U) Notify the XVIII Airborne Corps Surgeon's Office when
         medical facilities become operational, are moving, or are closed.
         Messages will include unit identification, location, time of opening,
         expected time enroute, or closing.

                 (14) "e94. Be prepared to provide medical support to USARCENT
         forces until establishment of their component service's facilities.

              b. Commanders

                 (1) (U) Ensure units deploy with sufficent preventive
         medicine teams and supplies.

                 (2) (U) Establish vigorous preventive medicine programs as
         outlined in paragraph 6, this appendix to preclude heat injury or
         illness due to environmental factors in the AOR.

         4. JOINT OPERATIONS AREA EVACUATION POLICY

              a. -#&)- A seven day evacuation policy for the AOR will be
         established initially. The COMMZ evacuation policy is initially
         established at 60 days. Changes in the combat zone evacuation policy
         may be required during peak combat operations.

              b. (U) Unless authorized by USARCENT, indigenous-civilians will
         not be evacuated out of the AOR.
