                 b. Recommend that a Liaison Officer from the Division DMOC
              should be assigned to the Battalion.     N
                 c. Recommend Clearing Platoons be allowed to move ahead of the
              MA,SH because they are more mobile and can establish their
              facility more rapidly.
                 d. Recommend each Clearing Platoon have a Dental Team assigned
              by MTOE.
                 e. Recommend that a Surgical Team be attached to the Clearing
              Platoons to handle surgery until the MASH becomes operational, or
              the Team be assigned if the Clearing Platoons and MASH evacuation
              chain becomes too long due to combat unit advances after the MASH
              has been set down.
                 f. Recommend that the TOE be amended for 100% mobility for
              equipment and personnel (additional vehicles are required).
                 g. Recommend that priority at MEDSOM be assigned on mission
              assignment, not size of hospital facility.
                 h. Recommend that medical units be given some priority through
              the communications system for logistics and medical evacuation.
                 i. Recommend MTOE be changed to reflect patient administration
              personnel carry a .45 caliber pistol, due to our experience of
              them having to search, control and monitor Enemy Prisoners of
              War.
