                       7. Moderate symptoms: Administer two    @-I kits imm*di
                       and watch for progress, if after la minutes the symptoms
                       persist or increase, administer the third MARX-I kit,
                       *gain only the corpsman or senior man can administer more
                       antidote.

                       S. Advanced or Severe symptoms: Administer all three MAR
                       kits immediately. If the casualty stops breathing begin
                       artificial respiration.

                       9. When you have finished giving the injections into the
                       upper outer thigh, place the empty autoinjector in the
                       breast pocket of the victim.

                       10. The ?AARK-1 kit takes about 8 minutes to begin its
                       effects and reaches maximum effectiveness In about 25
                       minutes.

       IMPORTANT NOTET USE THE VICTIMS MARK-1 KITS ON THE VICTIM, NEVER USE YOUR
      KITS ON SOMEONE  ELSE, THEY ARE FOR YOU'

                   g.  Effects of Atropine:

                       1. 2m#: Dilated pupils, thirst, near and blurred vision.

                       2. 4mg: Dry mouth, blurred vision, hoarseness.

                       3. Omg: Interference with ordinary activity, dry flush
                       skin, urinary retention and constipation, slowing of mental
                       and physical activity, headache, giddiness, disorientation,
                       hallucinations, drowsiness, and sometimes an increase in
                       body temperature. Full recovery from the Nerve agent may
                       take from days to weeks. during which time your
                       susceptibility to a Nerve agent in increased and the
                       effects of repeated exposure are cumulative. Aviators
                       must not fly for 12 hour* after atropine treatment.

                   h.  NERVE AGENT PYRIDOSTIOMINX PRETREATMENT TABS (XAAP)

                       1. The NAAP kit is issued prior to deployment and is a
                       pretreatment tablet designed to help the      -I KIT work
                       faster and more effectively. You will be instructed to
                       take on* tablet *very 8 hours for 7 days, for a total of
                       21 tablets. You will only quit taking the tablets wb*n
                       either you (1) run out of tablets, (2) are told to stop
                       taking tablets by your CO., (3) are in a contaminated
                       environment.



                   I. ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATIONS:

                       The BACX PRESSURE, ARM LIFT METHOD will be utiliz*d in
                   a contaminated environment.
