          (2) The Group also serves as the theater's source of                                -
supply for selected components and assemblies that are
essential to the operation of deployed weapons systems.
Here, too, the goal is to reduce the time needed to get the
part in the hands of~the soldier.

          (3) The organization is a component of the Depot System
Command (DESCOM), which is a major subordinate command (MSC)
of AMC.      The facility headquarters is located in the 2nd
Industrial Area, Dammam, Saudia Arabia.                                The facility is
manned by civilian and military personnel on extended
temporary duty from Army depots and other AMC organizations.

          D. Theater Aviation Maintenance Program - Saudia Arabia
(TAMP-SA).

          (I) General. Aviation Systems Command (AVSCOM), another
AMC MSC, has established a theater aviation maintenance
support activity for all aviation units operating in the
CENTCOM AOR called TAMP-SA.                     The TAMP is composed of TAMP-SA
Forward located in Dhahran and TAMP-SA Base is located in
Abu Dhabi, UAE (see figure 5).
