DISCUSSION:

The rough terrain of the desert shortens tire life significantly.
The wear and tear of off-road travel weakens the tire structure,
causes flats or can result in damaged rims.

LESSON(S)  LEARNED:

Drivers must exercise extra care in negotiating rough terrain.
Unit leaders must give consideration to terrain that will effect
convoy movements.
