           Subj: LETTER OF INSTRUCTION FOR ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE
                 OF CHEMICAL DEFENSE DECONTAMINATION AND MONITOR AND
                 SURVEY TEAMS




                   (1) Provide rosters of designated Marines, by team, to
           the AC/S, G-3, NLT 3 Oct 90.

                   (2) Provide Marines and vehicular support assets for
           training in accordance with the schedule in enclosure (2).

                   (3) Training will be conducted by the Ist FSSG NBC
           defense platoon.

              b. Logistics

                   (1) EqLLipment support for the teams listed in enclosure
           (1) will not be required on a routine basis. It must be
           provided only for training and during chemical contingency
           operations.

                   (2) Assignment of vehicular assets is the
           responsibility of the commanders designated above. Shortages
           should be identified to AC/SI 6-3 NLT 3 Oct for resolution.

                   (3) Storage space for consumable NBC supplies will be
           provided in each unit's area.
