                                  1200 break camp - 21st was first invasion date
                                  Move to the waiting area until 1800
                                  Into MOP 2
                                  Black cloud pointing
                                  1830 move to berm- line of departure
                                  Bombing- moved us
                                  Long noisy eerie night with oil smoke, dark, noise
                                    visited the troops, talked and prayed

                                  Sun 24 Feb G Day

                                  0500  mount up
                                  0530  moved up to the breaching area
                                        slow driving - glow sticks
                                  0700  first mine field     artillery over us
                                  0730  second mine field     mortars 30-50m away kill
                                        vehicle 4 ahead hits a mine
                                        long 10-15 minutes
                                  0900  lot of artillery from 2/10 outbound, jets,
                                        Cobras over us, EPWs in a line, OIL FIELDS-PI]
                                  0900  sun came out
                                  1100  Stopped for Medivacs
                                        Ministry to the circled vehicles
                                        Everyone was surprised at EPWs
                                        One of our TOW guys was shot by an EPW
                                  1700  oil smoke- Chemical alarm - MOPP 4 get down
                                  1710  Airbursts- long 1/2 hour in the hole!

                                  1800  Very dark - ministry of presence- counseling
                                  1930  Into the hole to wait until light - noisy 2/10,
                                        Bombers, etc -
                                        LONG NIGHT     Dozed- chemical suit was hot,
                                         boots wet through-   cramps - foggy -

                                  Mon 25 Feb G plus 1

                                  0500  Got out of my hole, ate an MRE
                                  0600  Ministry of presence, counseling 0700 to MOP
                                  1100  12 HE artillery rounds in on us 100m out from
                                        our circle- right in the path we were going
                                        into to move out.
                                  1115  until 1600 we drove 10K stop and go! Almost dz
                                  1600  small arms, cleared bunkers( grunts )
                                        we were in a CBU minefield - ahead was a battle
                                  1700  Rain- moved out of CBU minefield- dark- light
                                  1900  Totally dark 5 K/hr. Rain       bombing - arty fire
                                  1930  We stopped for the night      totally dark -
                                        fire all around us. Dug in- Med set up tent
                                        2/2 & 1/6 were engaged with enemy
                                        Tank in front of our CUTVEE - RAIN Smoke noise
                                  2300  Exhausted - wet - crawled under CTJTVEE
                                  0300  Up noise of artillery was unbelievable
