             The period 'on this report starts on 16 February 1991. The

             period from 22 December 1990, date ol DSC stand-up, through 15

             February 1991 was covered in the DSC Command Chronology

             submitted to CG I MEF on 20 February 1991. S,,ibordinate

             command reports cover the period fron the time assigned to the

             DSC to the present.


             The DSC continued the 24 hour a day build up of CSSA-2 (AL

             KHANJAR) with Class 1, III, and V. As previously reported, AL

             KHALIJAR was located in its current position to better support

             the revised I MEF scheme of maneuver. The period prior to 'a'

             Day was marked by an Intensive surge effort to stock enough

             supplies to support offensive operations of the lst and 2nd

             ttanine Divisions. During this time, bulk fuel delivery by U.S.

             Army assets significantly increased the DSC's capability.

             Three C-130 capable airstrips were constructed which provided

             additional resupply and medevac capabilities. Of significant

             importance was the discovery of a water well approximately 4km

             northeast of AL KHANJAR. This added source significantly

             helped meet the MEF's water requirements.


             By the evening of 19 February, 1991 the DSC was fully capable

             of providing CSS for 1 MEF offensive operations. CSSA-2
