VII. Ambulances.
A. Discussion. The aid station only rates one M1035
ambulance. The need for two ambulances proved evident once 'the for-
ward aid station departed. The rear aid station was immediately
facing difficulty with having a vehicle designated for emergency use.
A vehicle was eventually designated but not always on station. The
vehicle was also subject to permanent loss, hence, problem not solved
j d. This event has repeated itself often and
again has reoccurred since their return to Camp 15.
B. Recommendation. Recommend two ambulances(MlO35) be
designated to the aid station when involved in a major deployment.
VIII. Office of Division Surgeon.
A. Discussion. Crucial guidance and information was made
available to assist the Battalion Aid Station and Regimental Aid
Stations in meeting mission requirements. This section was very
effective.
1. Administrative. Administrative functions seemed to have
diminished since our arrival in SWA and KTO. Much of it seems to

2. Pay Procedures. Pay procedures as established for Navy
personnel attached to 2d Marine Division are tested and effective
once activated. The dissatisfaction which came with Operation Desert

tendency to accumulate, resulting in a one-lump deduction. The
junior personnel are the ones who feel the effects of this moreso,-
especially if they are due to transfer at some point in close
proximity after returning to Camp LeJeune. It is each individuals
responsibility to manage his/her financial obligations, still, the
impact of this will be felt without some notice that a large
deduction will take place on a given pay period. This can be
